Cameron Michael Bedell (born October 20, 1988) is an American Pop/Soul Singer, Writer and Producer. In 1999 he dusted off the old Yamaha Guitar in his brothers room and began teaching himself how to play his favorite songs. The rest is history. By 2002, Bedell began writing his own songs to instrumental tracks from CD Single releases, such as: "Usher - You Make Me Wanna" and "K-Ci & JoJo - Bring Me Up". Once his guitar and piano skills were good enough, Cameron started writing his own music. Because he didn't have anybody to sing his songs, he would try and sing them himself. Though a rapper at the time, Bedell figured if Usher can do it; He can do it. In 2004, as a freshman in high school he began playing shows at small coffee shops in the Wichita area. He grew a small fan base with his first big song "Beautiful Her". The following year he produced and mixed his first EP in his basement, titled "This Is Me". By the time Bedell was a freshman at Butler Community College, he had released 2 EP's and began to make a name for himself. In college, he used his talents to write the "Theme Song" for the institution; as well as a song for the choir, titled "We Are The Change". In 2010, he took a leap of faith and moved out to Nashville, TN to pursue his music career. Bedell attended Belmont University for 2 years to finish his Bachelors Degree. While there, he made a name for himself with his 8 piece band "The Skunks". Cameron Bedell and The Skunks performed in 2 Belmont Showcases, as well as venues all around Nashville and Atlanta. They made their debut self-titled album in 2012. A year later, he parted ways with "The Skunks" and began focusing on writing and producing music for other artists . In the January of 2014, Bedell was seen world-wide on the FOX's TV show "American Idol". After the show, Bedell released a cover of the Weeknd's song "Earned It" with featured artist Megan Davies. The song took off and went VIRAL on YouTube and Spotify, garnering him more world-wide recognition. Soon after that he released a Memoir of sorts; his most recent album "Monte Bella" is available on all music platforms for stream and download. Now an avid writer and producer, Cameron lives in Nashville still with his wife Anna (baby on the way) and continues to pursue all kinds of music ventures. I think it's safe to say, he's the real deal.
